Pediatric Oncology (Cancer Center for Kids)

Winthrop's Cancer Center for Kids (CCK) is a state-of-the-science facility where children are given the best possible chance of recovery and cure through superior medical care, constant nurturing and unconditional support in an environment that promotes healing and meets the complex challenges of children�s cancers and blood disorders.

Embodying the principles of patient and family-centered care, the Center�s staff provides young patients with comprehensive, sensitive and compassionate care, offering families support from the moment of diagnosis, through intense treatments and long-term follow-up.

As much treatment as possible is offered in a beautifully appointed, child-friendly outpatient Center where select patients can receive transfusions, infusions, chemotherapy treatments, or even procedures under anesthesia in a safe and comforting environment.
