Trigger Finger Treatment
Providing innovative surgical and non-surgical treatment options to provide relief from Trigger Finger.
At NYU Winthrop, we offer leading-edge, trigger finger treatments including both cortisone injections and minimally-invasive surgery.
The treatment goal for patients suffering from trigger finger is to regain proper motion of the finger by relieving the irritation and inflammation of the tendons.
To achieve this, there are a number of trigger finger treatments including medication, occupational therapy and cortisone injections. In some cases, outpatient surgery is the best option.
Advanced Surgical Treatment for Trigger Finger
When a patient's finger is stuck in a bent position and doesn't respond to conservative treatment, minimally-invasive surgery is recommended. The outpatient procedure is done through a small incision in the palm. The finger can typically be moved immediately after the surgery.
