As a trauma center, NYU Winthrop Hospital delivers lifesaving care to the most seriously injured patients. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, our trauma team is prepared for any emergency.

Our team of in-house trauma surgeons, available 24/7, have specialized critical care surgery training and work closely with other in-house specialists, on-call physicians and trauma support staff, including:

NYU Winthrop’s trauma team collaborates with community hospitals throughout the region and emergency medical service professionals, to ensure prompt transportation of patients with critical and/or life-threatening injuries. Our team also works closely with specialists across various disciplines at NYU Winthrop Hospital to provide the best care to patients during every aspect of injury and recovery.
