Preventative Vaccine - Testing a vaccine to prevent RSV and PIV3

Summary

Winthrop University Hospital Department of Pediatric Infectious Disease is seeking healthy children 6 to <24 months of age for a medical research study. Eligible participants will receive study-related medical exams, laboratory testing, and study vaccine at no cost. You do not need health insurance to participate and compensation for time and travel may be provided.

Description

Testing a vaccine to prevent Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and Parainfluenza Virus Type 3 (PIV3) which are causes of bronchiolitis (inflammation of the small airways in the lungs) and pneumonia in infants and young children.

Inclusion/exclusion

Main inclusion criteria: ¥ Between the ages of 6 and 24 months of age and healthy ¥ Willing to frequently travel to the study doctorÕs office for study visits
