GILDA RADNER FAMILIAL OVARIAN CANCER REGISTRY

Summary

The purpose of this study is to help identify inherited mutations in genes that predispose women to inherited ovarian cancer. A secondary objective is to help increase public awareness of the disease and the need for early detection

Description

This study is designd for women who are not diagnosed with cancer but have at least 2 or more relatives with ovarian cancer. The study involves signing a consent form, completing a questionnaire and a one time blood test and mouth swab. The information will be kept in a national database and used for research purposes only.

Inclusion/exclusion

Women at least 18 years old that are not diangosed with cancer but who have at least 2 or more relatives with ovarian cancer
