Characteristics of Patients Undergoing Percutaneous PFO Closure for Cryptogenic Stroke Registry.


The aim of this observational registry is to collect and analyze de-identified objective subject data in order to develop best practice guidelines for the subjects with cryptogenic stroke undergoing closure of their PFOs with a PFO closure device.


Winthrop-University Hospital - Division of Cardiology is conducting this clinical research registry to review baseline demographic, anatomic and procedural characteristics, including all pre- and post-procedure imaging, in all de-identified subject data of 100 subjects.


To be eligible for this clinical reseach registry, you must: - Be 18 years old or older - Be diagnosed with cryptogenic stroke or TIA and a documented PFO that underwent closure
