Pastoral Care and Education
Serenity Chapel, Winthrop-Univerisity Hospital
Winthrop-University Hospital's Pastoral Care and Education Department
It is widely believed that healing is more than a physical process. Emotional and spiritual health are vital as well. The Hospital offers pastoral care to patients of all faiths and their families.
In addition, the Hospital can assist patients in reaching out to their own personal clergy.
The Pastoral Care and Education Department at Winthrop-University Hospital is a satellite of "The HealthCare Chaplaincy," an accredited Center of the American Association for Clinical Pastoral Education. The HealthCare Chaplaincy is a multifaith, non-profit organization dedicated to pastoral care, education, and research, to promote spiritual and emotional healing in hospital settings and communities.
Support the Peace & Hope Chaplaincy Program
Your help is essential to the future of the Program and will ensure that our chaplains will always be available to offer comfort and hope in times of need. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.
We offer opportunities to be a significant named benefactor, to perpetually honor a loved one through our ‘Wall of Remembrance’ or to simply give thanks.
