The Winthrop Research Institute, currently under construction, is a $95 million, 95,000 square foot, five story state-of-the-science center which will centralize Winthrop’s investigative endeavors under one roof. The institute includes laboratories, a clinical trial center and classrooms for our Stony Brook medical students.
Our brand new comprehensive simulation center allows residents to develop surgical skills using virtual hysteroscopy and laparoscopy. The center also houses high-technology mannequins including Laedral SimMom and SimBaby, with which the residents can practice teamwork and leadership in monthly obstetrical drills.
