  • Volunteers are always needed at Winthrop to staff the gift shop on Saturdays, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM, or from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Volunteers assist visitors and Hospital staff with purchases. Men and women of all ages are welcome to apply. Voluntary duties in numerous other Hospital areas are also waiting for willing hands to help.

With a commitment of just a few hours each week, Winthrop volunteers can make a significant difference in the lives of many patients. In addition to personal fulfillment, volunteers have the opportunity to meet new friends and learn new skills. For additional information on volunteer opportunities at Winthrop, contact Carmela Anglim, Director of Volunteer Services, at (516) 663-2391.
