As part of the 20th anniversary celebration of Winthrop's Diabetes Education Center, the program hosted an "All You Can Eat" buffet dinner at the Old Country Buffet Restaurant, Levittown. Teaching people with diabetes how to choose wisely from "all-you-can-eat buffets" are Virginia Peragallo-Dittko, RN, MA, CDE, Diabetes Nurse Specialist and Director, Winthrop's Diabetes Education Center (L) and Lynn Chimon, RD (R). To enroll in any of the Diabetes Education Center's courses - which include cooking and eating sensibly, self-care techniques, and educational programs for children with diabetes - call Ms. Peragallo-Dittko at 516-663-2350.
