alvina Bardwil, Winthrop's Lead Mammography Technologist (C), proudly displays the elegant plaque presented to Winthrop by the Nassau County Chapter, American Cancer Society, for the Hospital's strong support of the Cancer Society's annual Breast Walk, "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer." Winthrop was represented by 150 participants who raised $6,250 for the American Cancer Society. Shown with Ms. Bardwil are Cheryl Williams (L) Medical Secretary, Mammography Suite and Sidney Glanz, MD (R), Faculty Attending Radiologist/ Mammographer, Department of Radiology. The Mammography staff at Winthrop, which organizes and supports Winthrop's participation in the Breast Walk, is directed by Steven Perlmutter, MD, Faculty Attending Radiologist/Mammographer.
