Winthrop-University Hospital was
recently named to Becker’s Hospital
Review’s “100 Hospitals With Great
Women’s Health Programs” list, which
recognizes some of the most outstanding
hospitals for women’s health programs
in the United States.
To compile this list, the Becker’s
Hospital Review editorial team utilized
several resources, including clinical accolades,
quality care and women’s health
proficiencies and awards. The 100 hospitals
were selected to the list for offering
outstanding programs within women’s
health, including gynecology, obstetrics,
reproductive medicine and other gender specific
conditions
and health needs.
“Winthrop
continues to be
acknowledged
nationally
for numerous
outstanding
achievements. Recognition by Becker’s
Hospital Review is a testament to the
outstanding clinical and research
programs, overseen by an exceptional
medical team, that Winthrop has available
to women of all ages,” said John F.
Collins, President & CEO of
Winthrop-University Hospital.
Each year, more than 5,000 babies
begin their lives in Winthrop’s New
Life Center. In addition, Winthrop’s
Breast Health Center is the only Center
in Nassau County to hold prestigious
accreditation by the National
Accreditation Program for Breast
Centers (NAPBC).
