How Can Winthrop’s Cancer Navigators Help You?

At Winthrop, Cancer Navigators – registered nurses and physician assistants who specialize in the care of cancer patients – are dedicated to assisting patients and their loved ones throughout the cancer journey, from pre-diagnosis through treatment. At no cost to the patient, Cancer Navigators will:
  • Facilitate coordination of testing, treatment and follow up care
  • Provide education about cancer and treatment options
  • Provide emotional support and guidance
  • Make referrals to oncology social workers, support groups and provide additional resources as needed
  • Serve as a liaison for the cancer patient and family with physicians and other healthcare providers
  • Develop a survivorship care plan in collaboration with patients
Winthrop’s Cancer Navigators are readily available to assist patients who are dealing with a diagnosis of breast, prostate, colon, gynecologic or lung cancers. For more information about the Cancer Navigator Program at Winthrop, call 1-866- WINTHROP.
