(center) presents a check for $10,000 to Mark Weinblatt, MD, Chief of the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Winthrop and Director of the Cancer Center for Kids (CCFK) and Linda Sweeney, Practice Manager of the CCFK.
Jay’s World Childhood Cancer Foundation, Inc. recently made a $10,000 donation to the Cancer Center for Kids (CCFK) at Winthrop-University Hospital in support of the Center’s mission to provide patients with hope and healing.

Jay’s World was founded in 1994 by Ralph and Mary Ann Napolitano following their son Jason’s (“Jay”) successful treatment for leukemia. To date, the Foundation has contributed close to $600,000 to Winthrop – which has funded the creation of The Jay’s World Children’s Cancer Unit in Winthrop’s Hagedorn Pediatric Inpatient Center and the complete blood count (CBC) Laboratory at the CCFK.
