Marika Spizz of Manhasset (center)
once again celebrated her birthday
with a Walk-a-thon in Long Beach,
NY, to raise funds for the Cancer
Center for Kids at Winthrop. Marika
and her husband Alex Spizz have
been ardent supporters of the
Cancer Center for Kids since their
son Adam was treated by the Center
and its Director, Dr. Mark Weinblatt,
in the 1980s. In Adam’s memory,
Marika and the Spizz family have
devoted a great deal of time, love,
energy and funding in support of the
Cancer Center for Kids, its young
patients and their families.
