It was a thrilling celebration "Under the Big Top" as the
magic of the Big Apple Circus transformed the 2007 Gala
into a fun-filled evening that was enjoyed by all.
Nearly 700 friends and supporters of
Winthrop-University Hospital gathered
on October 20 to recognize
two exceptional individuals
for their years of devoted
service to Winthrop -
Theodora Winthrop Hooton,
a dedicated member of the
Hospital's Board of
Directors, and Joseph Greco, MD, Chairman of Winthrop's
Department of Anesthesiology.
The event raised close to
$700,000 in support of the Hospital and its
world-class programs.
With riveting entertainment by
clowns, magicians, jugglers and
the amusing stilt-walker, center
ring performances by Dikki
Ellis and Li Liu the acrobat and
music entertainment by Elite
Music, Inc., it was an evening
not soon to be forgotten.
