Seven Winthrop physicians have been named to New York Magazine's 2006 "Best Doctors" list. The doctors were among those chosen from the five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, northern New Jersey and Fairfield County in Connecticut.
The physicians recognized from Winthrop are: Anthony Arcati, MD, Family Medicine; Eva Chalas, MD, Chief of Gynecological Oncology; Burke A. New York Magazine's ninth annual "Best Doctors" list is a collaboration of the publication and Castle Connolly Medical, the research and publishing company. Every year, thousands of New York physicians complete a survey asking them to nominate doctors in almost every specialty--those they have confidence in referring their own patients and family members to. The nominators also consider professional qualifications, reputation and, most importantly, the ways in which the nominee communicates with patients.
