Thanks to a generous donation from the Sesto family of West Islip, Winthrop's Hagedorn Pediatric Inpatient Center has replaced 20 older VCRs with brand-new DVD/VCR combo units.
"We didn't think twice about making the donation because when our son Paul was a patient at Winthrop we were so grateful for all the loving care he received from the pediatrics staff," said Paula Sesto. "The nurses are like angels who are so dedicated to what they do. The Center helped my son, and all of us, get through a very difficult time. Now, Paul volunteers at the Child Life Center, and we help whenever we can."
