    • Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy presents Congressional Record plaque to Daniel P. Walsh, Winthrop-University Hospital's President and Chief Executive Officer.
    Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) recently presented Winthrop with a plaque recognizing the Hospital's 2005 HealthGrades(R) Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence. Earlier, Congresswoman McCarthy read the news of Winthrop's honor into the Congressional Record of the 109th Congress.

    After the presentation, she toured the Hospital's new facilities, including the new Pediatric Inpatient and Heart Surgery Centers, as well as the construction sites of the planned Endoscopy Center and the new, technologically advanced, fourth cardiac catheterization lab, slated to open soon.
