The new Pediatric Inpatient Center is a modern, bright facility that specializes in the distinct physical and emotional needs of children during periods of critical illness. Staffed
by Winthrop's highly skilled team of pediatric specialists, parents know their children are in the best of hands. A new, greatly expanded Child Life Activity Center, staffed by child life specialists, serves as a safe haven, a place for patients to spend time on the computer, play video or board games, watch movies and act like kids.
In addition, the four-room Jay's World Pediatric Oncology Unit provides more privacy for pediatric oncology patients and families with rooms equipped with sleep-beds for parents. Bright and cheerful, the inpatient center also houses specialized pediatric intensive care rooms as well as accommodations for parents, siblings and relatives.
 The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit affords patients the highest level of specialized care in times of serious illness.
