Jeanne S. Pidot

eanne S. Pidot was recently elected to Winthrop’s Board of Directors. Mrs. Pidot is a Registered Nurse, who has worked as a recovery room nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York; school nurse at the Green Vale School on Long Island (where she is currently a Board member); and as a nurse in the TWA Flight 800 disaster response effort.
Mrs. Pidot co-chairs Winthrop’s Board of Regents with her husband, Whitney D. Pidot,
a long time member of Winthrop’s Board of Directors, and she is a member of the Board of Regents’ nominating committee. She brings to
her new role a long and distinguished history
of service on the boards of the American Red Cross-Nassau County Chapter; Glen Cove YMCA; Planned Parenthood of Nassau County; Christ Church Nursery School in Oyster Bay; and the National Federation of Republican Women. She
is currently Secretary of the House Committee at the Colony Club in New York City. A graduate
of St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, Mrs. Pidot has been the recipient of the National American Red Cross Clara Barton Award for Leadership, and the Davison Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Nassau County chapter
of the American Red Cross. She and her husband live in Locust Valley.
John H. Treiber

ohn H. Treiber, insurance industry executive, is another new member of Winthrop’s Board of Directors. Mr. Treiber has 25 years experience in the insurance industry through his work with the Treiber Group, a full service insurance firm
established by his grandfather in l899. The firm celebrated its 100th anniversary last year, and ranks within the top 50 Long Island privately
held companies.
Mr. Treiber, President of the Treiber Group Retail Division, holds the CPCU designation and is licensed by the New York State Brokers in property and casualty and life insurance. He has served on various insurance company and broker panels, including Utica Mutual, Chubb, CIGNA, and Kemper. He is the President of CGUS Agents Advisory Council and President of its Long Island Division. The former president of the Long Island YMCA, Mr. Treiber is currently president of the Wheatley Hills Golf Club, serves on his church vestry, and on the boards of many charitable organizations. Mr. Treiber and his wife, Carol Ann, live in East Williston and are the parents
of two daughters, Megan and Kim.

Winthrop Directors Cut Ribbon at New Hospital Entrance
Members of Winthrop’s Board of Directors cut the ribbon signifying the opening of the new east side Hospital entrance.
