record 336 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day on the links recently in support of Winthrop-University Hospital. Participants teed off at either The Meadow Brook Club in Jericho or The Creek in Locust Valley, two of the area's most picturesque courses. Ralph Lambert, President of Axis Construction, chaired the event. It raised more than $250,000, which will go toward Winthrop's Chaplaincy Endowment Fund. In January, the Fund was used to establish a new Department of Pastoral Care and Education at the Hospital.
The Winthrop Auxilians provided invaluable support to the annual Golf Tournament. Seated, L-R: Peg Musil, Auxiliary Parliamentarian; Father Tom Murphy, Corpus Christi R.C. Church, Mineola; and Dorothy Ingram.
