Winthrop-University Hospital’s Perspectives in Health series will present a free lecture for the community, “Common Foot Problems: What’s the Next Step?” on Tuesday, February 10th at 7:00 PM. The program will be held at Winthrop’s Community Outreach Center, 101 Mineola Boulevard at the corner of Second Street in Mineola.

Seth Queler, MD, Acting Chief, Division of Foot and Ankle Surgery at Winthrop, will discuss the symptoms, causes, diagnosis and latest advances in treatment options for various foot problems ranging from bunions to sports injuries to chronic ankle instability.

Foot problems can be a source of discomfort and pain that impact our daily activities. Yet there are treatments that can help individuals return to an active lifestyle. Dr. Queler combines cutting-edge techniques with proven traditional methods to help you get “back on your feet.” A question and answer period will follow the lecture.

Attendees are asked to arrive at 6:45 PM for registration. Parking and the entrance are available in the rear of the building. Seating is limited and pre-registration is required. To reserve a space, please call (516) 663-8300.

Perspectives in Health is a free community health education program, coordinated by the Nurse Specialist Group at Winthrop. For information on other programs at the Hospital, please call 1-866-WINTHROP.
