“SHARING SECRETS & SOLVING PROBLEMS”
Mineola, NY - Ladies, join us for a lively presentation that will help you learn how to survive and thrive through mid-life issues! Winthrop-University Hospital’s Spirit of Women® community education series will offer a free program, “Sharing Secrets & Solving Problems” on Wednesday, November 12, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. The program will be held at Winthrop’s Community Outreach Center, located at 101 Mineola Boulevard in Mineola (parking and the entrance are in the rear of the building). The event will include lectures and fun, interactive activities designed to promote awareness and general well-being.
Presenters Alan D. Garely, Chief of the Division of Urogynecology and George Lazarou, MD, Chief of Gynecology at Winthrop, will discuss urinary incontinence, its causes and treatment options, both surgical and non-surgical. Ann Calvo, RN, Administrator, Winthrop Home Health Agency, will discuss home care options after surgical intervention.
Menopause will be addressed by Lydia Valderamma, MD, Attending Gynecologist at Winthrop, who will discuss what you need to know to keep you comfortable and healthy during this phase of your life.
Alexandria Booth, MD, Attending Dermatologist at Winthrop, will also be available to answer questions on skin care, as well as offer tips for keeping your skin healthy.
