Mineola, NY - Winthrop-University Hospital’s “Health Update for Seniors” community education series will present a free program, “Have You Heard? New Technologies in Hearing Aids” on Wednesday, October 8, 2008. The program begins with the lecture at 1:15 PM, followed by blood pressure checks at 2:45. It will be held the Mineola Community Center, 155 Washington Avenue in Mineola.

Most hearing problems can be helped through hearing aids. Roy Sullivan, Ph.D., Audiologist, will provide an overview of the different types of hearing loss and discuss how impaired hearing can affect family relations. Dr. Sullivan will explain the evaluation process, as well as the latest advances in technologies.
