WINTHROP-UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL SPONSORS FREE LECTURE FOR COMMUNITY “SINUSITIS: YOU DON’T HAVE TO SUFFER”

Winthrop-University Hospital’s Perspectives in Health series will sponsor a free seminar, “Sinusitis: You Don’t Have to Suffer,” on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 7 PM. It will be held at the Mineola Community Center, located at 155 Washington Avenue in Mineola (one block south of Jericho Turnpike, between Mineola Boulevard and Willis Avenue). The program will provide the latest information about sinus treatment options, including an innovative, minimally invasive procedure.

Bradley Block, MD, an Attending Ears, Nose and Throat Specialist (ENT) at Winthrop, will dispel myths about sinus headaches and post-nasal drip, discuss common mistakes with over-the counter medications, and address sinus infection prevention. He will also explain Balloon Sinuplasty – a minimally invasive office procedure used to help relieve sinus infections – requiring so little recovery time that people are able to return to work the next day. A question and answer period will follow the lecture.

Attendees are asked to arrive at 6:45 PM for registration. Parking is adjacent to the building. Seating is limited and pre-registration is required. To reserve a space, please call (516) 663-8300.
