WINTHROP-UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL’S MINI-MED ADULT EDUCATION SERIES OFFERS SEMINAR “OBAMACARE” – AN INTRODUCTION TO HEALTHCARE REFORM
Concerned about healthcare reform? Winthrop-University Hospital’s Mini-Med Adult Education Series is pleased to offer a panel discussion on The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, also known as “Obamacare,” on Wednesday, May 8th, 2013, from 7 to 9 PM. The seminar will be held at the Nassau County Legislative Chamber, located at 1500 Franklin Avenue in Garden City.
The event will feature an introductory and informational session on healthcare reform that will address patient (consumer) information, new laws, insurance coverage and more. Panelists include individuals experienced with the details of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: Christopher J. Kutner, a partner in the Health Services Practice Group at Rivkin Radler law firm; Aimee DiBartolomeo-Cody, President of Premier Benefit Plans, Inc., and Brian Malone, BS, MS, RPh, Director of Pharmaceutical Services at Winthrop. The program will be moderated by James Capozzi, MD, Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Winthrop. A question and answer period will be included.
