(L.-R.) John F. Collins, President & CEO of Winthrop-University Hospital; Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano; George P. Rainer, Former Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Winthrop; and Joseph Pascarella, Sr., Director, Nassau County Veterans Service Agency.
Winthrop-University Hospital has been recognized for its ongoing commitment and dedication to Nassau County and local veterans. In grateful appreciation, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano recently presented John F. Collins, President & CEO of Winthrop, and George P. Rainer, former Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Winthrop, with keys to the County.
Mr. Mangano commended Winthrop for its sponsorship of the County’s “Welcome Back Warriors” All-Veterans Jobs and Support Services Fair, as well as the recent Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall display at Eisenhower Park and the Second Annual Veterans BBQ, which brought together 2,000 veterans to thank them for their service to our country.
Winthrop-University Hospital is committed to supporting Nassau County’s service men and women who are returning home from military service through its Welcome Home Heroes Program – a free training and job search assistance program. For more information, call 1-866-WINTHROP.
