“BULLYING: WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW” TOPIC OF FREE LECTURE SPONSORED BY WINTHROP-UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL NOVEMBER 9
Attention parents: are you concerned about bullying? Once considered a “normal part of growing up,” reports in the news have shown that bullying can have serious consequences. Please join a discussion that will highlight what you need to know about bullying and how you, as a parent, can help.
Winthrop-University Hospital’s Parenting Today wellness series will offer a free program for the public, “Bullying: What You May Not Know,” on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at
7:00 PM. The program will be held at the Winthrop Wellness Pavilion, location at 1300 Franklin Avenue, Suite ML-5, in Garden City.
Martin Lipschutz, MD, Acting Chairman from the Department of Psychiatry at Winthrop, will discuss bullying – how it starts and its effects, as well as provide helpful information on the warning signs and tips for what parents need to know. A question and answer period will be included.
