WINTHROP-UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL CLINICAL TRIALS CENTER SEEKING VOLUNTEERS WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES FOR CLINICAL RESEARCH STUDY
Winthrop-University Hospital’s Clinical Trials Center and Michael Radin, MD, from the Division of Endocrinology, are seeking volunteers with type 2 diabetes who are already taking an oral medication but do not have adequate blood glucose control to participate in a clinical research study. The purpose of the study is to compare how well blood glucose levels are controlled with two investigational medications.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be 35 to 75 years of age and must be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least one year. They must not have achieved adequate blood glucose control with another drug and they must not smoke. Eligible participants will receive study-related investigational medication, medical exams and laboratory tests at no cost to them. Compensation may also be provided for time and travel expenses.
To find out if you qualify or for further information, please call the Winthrop-University Hospital Clinical Trials Center at (516) 663-9582 or e-mail clinicaltrials@winthrop.org.
