CLINICAL TRIALS CENTER SEEKING VOLUNTEERS WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES FOR RESEARCH STUDY
Winthrop-University Hospital’s Clinical Trials Center and Michael Radin, MD, from the Division of Endocrinology, are seeking volunteers with type 2 diabetes to participate in a clinical research study. The purpose of the study is to test the safety and effectiveness of an inhaled investigational medication for type 2 diabetes.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be 18 to 80 years of age and must be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for more than 12 months. They must also be taking one to three anti-diabetes medication products by mouth with a long-acting insulin and they must not smoke. Eligible participants will receive study-related investigational medication, medical exams and laboratory tests at no cost to them. Compensation may also be provided for time and travel expenses.
