CURRENT TREATMENTS FOR INCONTINENCE & PELVIC ORGAN PROLAPSE
Mineola, NY – Ladies, you don’t have to suffer with urinary incontinence. Come and learn about common causes and treatments at Winthrop-University Hospital’s Spirit of Women® community education series free lecture, “Current Treatments for Incontinence & Pelvic Organ Prolapse,” on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. The program begins with registration at 6:45 PM, followed by the lecture at 7:00. It will be held at Winthrop’s Community Outreach Center, 101 Mineola Boulevard at the corner of Second Street in Mineola. George Lazarou, MD, Chief of Gynecology and Director of Urogynecology at Winthrop, will discuss the evaluation and treatment of urinary incontinence. Peter S. Finamore, MD, Associate Director of Urogynecology at Winthrop, will discuss pelvic organ prolapse. The lecture will include an update on minimally invasive surgical options, including the use of robotic surgery using the daVinci Si Surgical System.
