WILLISTON PARK ROTARY CLUB SPREADS HOLIDAY CHEER AT WINTHROP’S CANCER CENTER FOR KIDS

In the true spirit of the holiday season, the Williston Park Rotary Club has one again helped make the holidays extra special for young patients at Winthrop-University Hospital’s Cancer Center for Kids (CCFK) Outpatient Center .

Recently, several members of the Rotary Club visited Winthrop’s CCFK to deliver toys for patients being treated during the holidays.

Diagnosing and treating the range of cancers and blood disorders in children is the focus of specialists in Winthrop's Cancer Center for Kids, a collaborative effort of Winthrop-University Hospital and its affiliated practitioners. Staffed by pediatric hematologists/oncologists with decades of experience, the Center is a unique regional resource that caters to children's medical needs and also addresses the psychosocial issues they and their families face.

For more information about the Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop-University Hospital, visit the Center’s website at www.winthrop.org/cck, or call Linda Sweeney, Practice Manager of the CCFK, at (516) 663-9400.
