GARDEN CITY MIDDLE SCHOOL RAISES FUNDS FOR WINTHROP’S MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS TREATMENT CENTER

Mineola, NY - Members of Winthrop-University Hospital’s Multiple Sclerosis Treatment Center, including Malcolm Gottesman, Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Treatment Center and Chief of Neurology at Winthrop, (right) and Eileen Boylan, RN, (second from right) recently visited the Anti-Bullying Club at Garden City Middle School to thank them for their generosity in raising funds for the Center. The Club, under the direction of Kimberly Greenwald (second from left) held a fundraiser by selling the popular rubber-band-like bracelets “silly bands.” Their efforts raised more than $1,300 in support of patient care, education in multiple sclerosis and research conducted by Winthrop.
