SENATOR CHARLES J. FUSCHILLO, JR. VISITS WINTHROP’S CANCER CENTER FOR KIDS

Mineola, NY – Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr.’s generous sponsorship of a New York State Department of Health grant helped support the creation of the Cancer Center for Kids Outpatient Center at Winthrop-University Hospital to better serve young patients and their families.

Recently, Senator Fuschillo (second from left) toured the new facility where he met with Linda Sweeney, Practice Manager of the CCFK (left); Mark Weinblatt, MD, Chief, Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Director of the CCFK (second from right); and John P. Broder, Vice President, External Affairs & Development at Winthrop.

“Winthrop’s Cancer Center for Kids delivers high quality medical care and comfort to children and their families during a very difficult time,” said Senator Fuschillo. “The Center provides an invaluable service and I commend them for everything that they do to ensure that children receive innovative therapies and the personalized attention they need to fight cancer.”
