Winthrop-University Hospital has a distinguished faculty nationally recognized for leadership in clinical services, medical education, and research.
The program leadership and faculty are available and accessible, with a genuine interest in each resident’s education, career, and quality of life. They develop strong relationships with residents as colleagues, advisors and mentors.
With 15 fellowship programs, Winthrop’s faculty and fellows provide a rich academic environment for inpatient and ambulatory subspecialty education and research. Winthrop’s first-class clinical care is provided by experts in their fields. The Department of Medicine has 77 Full-Time Faculty and 8 Part-Time Faculty. There is a strong basic science faculty, including 15 PhD investigators, as well as a readily available biostatistics faculty further strengthen Winthrop’s robust research program.
