With ongoing support from friends like you, Winthrop can continue to offer the very best, leading-edge care to our patients and their families. Please take a moment to read about the many different ways you can contribute. Your generosity – in any amount – is deeply appreciated. If you have any questions, or would like to discuss opportunities for giving, please call the Development Office at (516) 663-3398.
Types of Gifts
Whether in memory or in honor of a dear friend or family member, in celebration of a birthday, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, wedding, or other milestone, Winthrop welcomes contributions made in recognition of important life events.
Gifts can be made as a one-time contribution or on a monthly basis. We will gladly send an acknowledgement letter for your records, and are pleased to notify the person you are honoring, or in the case of a memoriam, notify a family member or friend. A card of your choice will be sent to let them know a gift has been made, but will not specify the amount.
Make an online contribution today, or if you prefer to send your gift by mail, download our gift form.
The Wall of Remembrance in our Serenity Chapel recognizes gifts made in memory of someone special. Various levels of plaques are available. To make a contribution, please complete our Serenity Chapel gift form.
Our Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Wall, located in the Maternity Unity lobby, honors Winthrop babies. Gifts of $300 are recognized with one Star plaque; gifts of $500 are recognized with two Star plaques. Please complete our Twinkle Twinkle Little Star gift form to make a contribution.
Naming opportunities provide recognition to our donors by associating their names, or those of loved ones or friends, with the Hospital. Specific areas within the Hospital can be dedicated in the names of individuals, families, foundations, corporations, or other organizations, providing a lasting tribute to donors making significant gift commitments. To learn more, please contact the Development Office.
Please note that all plaques are customized with your unique message.
The Research and Academic Center will transform Winthrop from a regional center of excellence to an epicenter of wellness care, research and medical study. Opened in February 2015, the 95,000 square foot Research and Academic Center is organized into three main research specialties: diabetes, obesity and associated complications; infant prematurity and perinatal conditions; and chronic disease and aging. As a gateway for bench to bedside breakthroughs, the Center will lead us forward in the quest to find answers to the mysteries behind human diseases and prepare the next generation of physicians who will treat them. We welcome you to the future at Winthrop-University Hospital, and invite you to support us on this transformational journey.
We hope that you will consider making a contribution to this exciting new project that will be important in helping us continue our commitment to improving the health of this area and the entire region as a whole. For more information on the Research Center and naming opportunities visit our new Research and Academic Center Virtual Tour or call (516) 663-2706.
