Bariatric (Weight-Loss) Surgery Program (BSP)

The BSP is a weight loss surgery program for individuals unable to lose weight using conventional medical methods. The procedure involves a major gastrointestinal operation that limits how much the stomach can hold. Winthrop's bariatric surgery team performs laparoscopic gastric banding, and laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and minimally invasive sleeve gastrectomy. They provide a high level of personal attention, taking each step with each patient along their journey to weight loss.
