Hagedorn Pediatric Inpatient Center

Winthrop's Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and the Cancer Center for Kids consist of the following facilities:

Nina Jillian Rosenblatt Ambulatory Suite

200 Old Country Road, Suite 440, Mineola, NY

Staffed by a team of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Physicians and Nurses, Psychologists, a Nurse Practitioner, Social Worker and Child Life Specialist, the Suite includes:
  • On-site phlebotomy with immediate blood count results, available thanks to the generosity and support of the Andy Fund
  • Infusion rooms for chemotherapy and transfusions
  • On-site facilities for conscious sedation and general anesthesia
  • Activity room for young children
  • Computers and Internet access for children and parents
  • Video games, DVD's for patients spending the day for treatments

Jay's World Childhood Cancer Center Foundation Unit

  • This inpatient unit includes rooms with sophisticated air filtration systems for patients with compromised immune systems when required
  • In-room sleeping accommodations for parents
  • TVs and internet access
  • In-room showers
  • Strategic placement of sinks to reduce the risk of infection
