Dr. Kent Chan has been a part of the Winthrop Community since 2003. He joined Winthrop University Hospital following his Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, New York. At Mt. Sinai, he committed a significant portion of his subspecialty training to minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Chan has been in New York since 1996. On Long Island, he completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at North Shore/LIJ in Manhasset. Prior to that, he was part of a six-year medical program at the University of Miami School of Medicine- a program where he was accepted directly to medical school from high school.

Currently, he practices in all aspects of gynecologic cancers- from the surgical side to chemotherapeutic delivery. His goal with his fellow partners is to incorporate the entire spectrum of medical and surgical techniques ranging from traditional methods to minimally invasive techniques in order to fine tune the best physical, emotional, prognostic and cosmetic outcomes.

Dr. Chan is proud to be part of the Winthrop team, working not only with his three other partners- but also with a dedicated and goal oriented medical specialists, research team, resident physicians, and staff.

He lives in Manhattan with his wife and children.
