Course Description: This student will be exposed to the classic literature in the field of Medical Ethics. They will participate in the application of ethical principles to patient care through diverse experiences including Ethics Rounds in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, Ethics Conference, and Palliative Care Rounds. The student will participate when an Ethics Consult is requested. The student will investigate and prepare a short presentation on an ethical issue they have encountered. The course directors will meet regularly with the student.

Duration: 2 weeks

Pre-requisite: The prospective student must submit a written statement of his/her area of interest/goals and learning objectives.
