Winthrop-University Hospital’s Internal Medicine program offers flexibility in elective choices. This flexibility allows residents, with the guidance of a faculty mentor, to focus their 10 months of elective time on their personal career interests. Elective rotations provide residents with experience in both ambulatory and inpatient subspecialty medicine. Protected elective research months allow interested residents to fully focus on their research projects.
