Winthrop's Sleep Medicine Fellowship offers a comprehensive, innovative program, with a nationally recognized faculty, who work closely with the Sleep Fellow in the completion of educational, clinical and research activities. Graduates of this program will be well prepared to provide excellent patient care and to become leaders in this challenging and rewarding specialty. |
Fellow sees approximately 800 consultations per year, and assumes significant responsibility for patients managed on the inpatient and outpatient services by Sleep Medicine Faculty. Fellows are trained in the technological aspects of Sleep Medicine including performance and interpretation of polysomnograms, multiple sleep latency tests and actigraphy. The fellowship stresses the multidisciplinary nature of Sleep Medicine and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to the management of patients with sleep disorders.
