Winthrop-University Hospital's pediatric fellowships emphasize personal faculty mentoring and focus on the development of clinical, teaching and research skills. All clinical experiences are supervised by Winthrop's faculty members who hold appointments at the SUNY at Stony Brook School of Medicine. Research opportunities are available with MD or PhD faculty as mentors. Excellent basic science resources, animal research and clinical research are available. Fellows also participate in a number of departmental and hospital programs including the Faculty Development Series, biostatistics seminars and core research seminars.
