Infectious Disease Fellowship

Program Director's Message
Winthrop-University Hospital's Infectious Disease Fellowship is designed to provide a first rate experience in clinical infectious diseases in an excellent teaching program that emphasizes clinical infectious diseases, diagnoses and therapy. Hospital epidemiology and infection control are an important program feature. Outpatient infectious disease training is centered in our ID ambulatory office facility, including the Winthrop Lyme Disease Center, the Winthrop Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Center, and the Winthrop Fever Center. Clinical research opportunities complement the clinical training experience which prepares our fellows for clinical or academic positions. Pediatric infectious disease and ambulatory HIV rotations are available in addidtion to our own HIV inpatient/outpatient experience.
