Winthrop University Hospital's Department of Orthopaedics combines cutting-edge medical and surgical techniques with proven traditional methods to provide patients with the best orthopaedic care possible. The Department continues to reach new frontiers in minimally invasive surgical procedures and provides the best care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Education and Research
The Department of Orthopaedics participates in an integrated residency program and provides education and training for surgical residents. Beginning in Fall of 2013, the Department will also be hosting the first physician assistant orthopaedic surgical resident.
The Department is also engaged in clinical trials and research to further support the hospital's mission.
