Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Title: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus over a 16-Week Treatment Period

Summary: Winthrop University Hospital Clinical Trials Center is conducting a clinical research study for patients who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Diabetes is a chronic condition in which the body is unable to regulate the amount of sugar in the blood.

Description: The purpose of this research study is to compare how well glucose levels are controlled after eating a meal using an investigational inhaled insulin vs. injected insulin both in combination with a long acting insulin.

To be eligible for the study, you must; ¥ be 18 Ð 80 years old ¥ be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for more than 12 months ¥ be taking 1 Ð 3 anti-diabetes medication products by mouth with a long acting insulin ¥ Non smoker or any chronic lung diseases
