Frederick Fein, MD, Director of the Telemetry Service at Winthrop- University Hospital, is a cardiologist of more than 20 years' experience with a special interest in the relationship of heart disease and diabetes. Prior to joining Winthrop in 2001, he was an attending cardiologist at North Shore University Hospital, in private practice and Director of the Stress Test Laboratory at Weiler Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx.
Dr. Fein is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Disease.
His postgraduate clinical training included a fellowship in cardiology at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, where he also completed a residency in internal medicine. While at Montefiore, he received the Henry Moses Alumni Award for Basic Research several times for his investigations into heart disease and diabetes. He received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. Fein has been an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine for almost 20 years.
A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, his professional publications include more than 55 scientific papers and abstracts.
