    Chief, Division of Radiation Oncology

    Alan Katz, MD, is Chief of the Division of Radiation Oncology. Prior to coming to Winthrop, he was Acting Chairman of Radiation Oncology at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center. He treats all malignancies with a special interest in prostate, utilizing the highly sophisticated CyberKnife Stereotactic Radiosurgery System, and brachytherapy and Intensity Modulated Radiation (IMRT) when appropriate.

    Dr. Katz is Board Certified in Radiation Onclology.

    His post-graduate training includes a residency in Radiation Oncology at New York University, from which he earned his medical degree, as well as a degree in law. Dr. Katz is a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY School of Medicine at Stony Brook.
