  • Jeffrey A. Brown, MD
    Neurosurgical Director, CyberKnife Radiosurgery Center

    Jeffrey Brown, MD, is Neurosurgical Director of Winthrop's CyberKnife Center, with more than a decade of experience in radiosurgery. He is also currently a Professor of Neurological Surgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.

    A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Brown is Board Certified in Neurosurgery.

    He completed his neurosurgical post-graduate training at The University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics, where he also earned his medical degree.

    Dr. Brown has published 50 peer-reviewed research articles in the neurosurgical literature in addition to 20 book chapters, and has delivered more than 200 invited lectures at local, regional, national and international venues. His research publications have been in the subspecialties of pain, spine and vascular neurosurgery.

    Dr. Brown is a member of the American Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, has served on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and now serves on the Advisory Committee to the American College of Surgeons as the AANS representative. He has been Chair of the Joint Section on Pain of the AANS and the Congress of Neurological Surgery.
